Brown 500 gms minced beef in a wide bottomed pan.

Add 1 chopped onion, 6 or 7 cloves of chopped garlic, about half of a finely chopped green pepper. Stir well until onions are translucent.

Add a tsp each of dried thyme, dried oregano, dried parsley, and a little salt. If you have fresh herbs, use those instead. Mix well.

Add about 2 cups of strained tomatoes (I use the Emma Passata brand from Costco). Stir well, let cook for about 10 minutes.
